Gingers ~ Globba
This ginger, known as Dancing Ladies or Girls, has a slender grass-like quality with drooping terminal head.  These make  great cut flowers.  The bloom is widly exotic in mixed arrangements.  Most grow to a height of 18-22 inches in the shade.

Globba Schomburgkii "Yellow Dancing Girl"  Dark green slender foliage with a cluster of mustard yellow flowers that drape over the green leaves.  Exotic structure.  Tends to make colonies.  Shade.  Grows to 2 feet.  Zones 8-10.

Globba Winitii "Mauve"or "Purple Dancing Girl" Surprising purple and yellow blooms that will last 2-3 weeks when used as cut flowers.  Shade.  Grows to 2 feet .  Zone 9
Stems grow weak and are not as hardy as the other globbas.





Globba Winitii "White Dragon"  This graceful globba has glossy green foliage and a white dangling bloom with small yellow bracts.  Lasts for two weeks as a cut flower. Grows to 2 feet.  Protect in Zone 8.
             



Globba Winitii "Jungle Jewels" This delightful winitti comes in a variety of colors.  A bloom emerges from the end of each stem in pink, white or ruby colors.  Shade.  Grows to 12 inches.
