The shampoo ginger is the most common name for this group of gingers. A separate stalk appears with a pine cone head that contains a gooey substance, which island families used for shampoo.  The flower makes an unusual addition to any arrangement.  The plants can range from 2-3 feet to 7 feet and above.  About 50% sun is great for these gingers.
